Thanks. I figured that the problem really is poor support; they are simply not willing to admit that as a problem despite the evidence provided. I'll simply have to change email providers since it seems like practically everyone at net4 is incompetent.

[...] I look up google and come across this article on SPF records. Apparently, net4 ought to be adding an SPF entry for my domain associating it with their mail [...]

Hey Siddhesh,

Unable to comment on your blog unfortunately, getting a 404 after posting.

Sorry to hear your pain. I know you're already clued up regarding this topic but i can confirm that DNS records are not Windows/Linux specific. This article below details how to add SPF DNS records on a Windows setup.

http://www.michaelbrumm.com/spfwindowsdns/

Might help you with support but doesn't sound like they are very receptive to the problem at the moment.

@Dharmesh

Sorry I missed this comment, been working a little hard recently. The test tool shows hubspot.com has a valid SPF record so that should have worked.

I see you have added some extra sending domains to the record, did that resolve the issue?

Great article -- very useful.

I'm looking into the SPF record for our domain (hubspot.com). Seems to show up correctly in the SPF testing tool, but GMail still shows messages from this domain as "neutral".

Any ideas as to why this would be?
